There are many things that go into building a student's college list: finances, academics, social scene, and geography. Too often, counselors, students, and families aren't equipped to evaluate the racial dynamics at any particular college or university. How can you build a college list that ensures students will thrive in a safe, affirming environment and that colleges are supportive of their student's academic and personal growth and development?
The College Equity Index seeks to shed light on that question for Black college applicants.
We developed the College Equity Index to help Black high school students decide where to apply to college.
We synthesized
quantitative and qualitative data about 106 private colleges and universities.
Explore the colleges, view their location, and examine each college on affordability, campus culture, diversity, and outcomes.
Because of the nature of our work, we're often asked to offer recommendations for students.
